Hey there. I'm Tsuki Hanabi, not "Mary-Sue". How come my name gets mixed up with that? Why am I labelled because I have hair that changes with my mood and diamond glitter eyes? So what if I'm the 14th Organization member or the holder of the 8th Millennium item? Why can't I be dating a character who is ambiguously single when the canon plot ends? And dammit, stop judging me just because you're not attractive enough to be admired by other males in the fandom.
Now...if you'll excuse me, I need to insert my name into the fandom title.
After a bunch of work on Broken-Requiem, I figured this drabble would be suitable.

One of my biggest complaints when it comes to the OC/M-S argument is the people who judge characters based on particular traits. I find there are so many people who don't bother to look into the context or the plot of the story, deeming the character(s) poor or tainted without just reason.

Here's my opinion about what constitutes a M-S character. They convert the fandom plot as well as the canon characters' dispositions. If the plot is completely original, be sure to analyze the character placement in the story before saying the Canons are OOC.

Only YOU can stop OC abuse. Read and think before you judge.

I actually thought up of a lot of things to say, but then I got distracted by the window slamming and now I forgot a lot of it. oTL

Most of the time, I actually feel that the point of writing a fanfic is to play with the characters that someone else created; thus, putting in an OC that actually plays a big part seems to be rather pointless. I mean, if you wanted to work on a character you created, why not just write an original fiction instead?

Anyway; following that, I tend to put the label M-S on characters that overshadow the canon characters. Of course, this has varying degrees; an official NPC could only appear for 10 seconds and the OC appears more, but the main thing is, I usually consider OCs a helpful-sidekick-that-adds-flavour-to-the-story, rather than being the main dish.

Thus far, the good fanfictions I've read (though I can't confess to have read a lot), if they have OCs, work like this. Feel free to introduce me to any good stuff you know where OCs take the limelight. Because, hey, I haven't actually seen one of those, and I may learn something new. :)
