Kairi fingered the scaly bark of the Paopu trunk, amused by how comfortable its texture actually was.
She traced the pattern up to the precious fruit. She caught a laugh in her palm. The stars hung innocently in the azure sky. It was an odd, appropriate contrast of colour. A smile lit across her lips. His eyes weren't so pastel, but she saw him there, amongst the stars and the sky.
She remembered him trying to reach a Paopu once; she had looked up from the water's edge, admiring the cloudless blue surrounding him. The colour suited his temperate heart.
