Kairi looked over at Sora, stifling a laugh against the back of her hand. He never was a graceful sleeper.
She'd only been gone for five minutes, but he was out, in the dark sand, by the time she returned.
Shafts of moonlight gleaned over her skin, reflecting white in the cloudless dusk. A cliché angel offering light in the dark. And the only one to appreciate a snowflake upon an Island was already gone.
Kairi didn't mind. She settled beside him, touching her palm to his heartbeat. The white stars glittered in her eyes, promising to leave them be.
